This is my favorite cream cheese frosting recipe. I use it all the time for all kinds of desserts.
Here are just a few of the ways I use this frosting.
Carrot Cake or Zucchini Cake
Cream Cheese Frosting
From my Betty Crocker Cookbook
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. margarine, softened
2 t. milk
1 t. vanilla
4 c. powdered sugar
Mix together cream cheese and margarine. Add in remaining ingredients. Mix until smooth.
This frosting makes a lot. Most of the time I only use half of it and freeze the other half. I love to be able to pull out a baggie full of frosting all ready to go. It's one of those things that doesn't freeze solid. It thaws quickly. I usually just set it out while my goodies are baking and it's ready to go when I need it.
What kind of desserts do you frost with cream cheese frosting?
