Orange Surprise!

During the summer, I often make a smoothie {or shake, as we like to call them} to have with dinner.

One of our favorites is Orange Julius.  My oldest daughter was helping me make it. We had some strawberries so we threw some in and it was so tasty and refreshing.  In fact, after one sip, my daughter said "You need to put this on your blog." So we quickly dumped it into a clear glass for a picture.

Have you made smoothies before? What are your favorite fruit combinations?

  6. This looks so good! (Found you from In the Old Road). I have a ton of oranges (bought from a co-op) so I've been adding them to my protein shakes...but this sounds even better!

  9. Orange is my favorite fruit for smoothies. It just never fails to make a refreshing and healthy drink. Another reason is that it usually blends well with other fruits. Strawberry and orange, both are sweet-sour, I think this would click! :D

  10. Orange Julius! It contains vanilla, which has anti-oxidant properties. :) More importantly, vanilla prevents the growth of cancerous cells and it alleviates symptoms of Alzheimer. Yes, seriously.
