March Book Reviews

Here's what I've been reading last month. I'd love to hear what books you've been enjoying.

Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25 by Richard Paul Evans
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a great young adult book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Passion (Fallen, #3)Passion by Lauren Kate
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I'm not always good at remembering books, so I had a little trouble at the beginning of this to remember what had happened previously. You definitely need to read the first and second books first. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

City of Angels (The Rhea Jensen Series, #1)City of Angels by Sheralyn Pratt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was great. It has mystery and a little bit of love interest. Very clean. A quick fun read.

Welcome to Stalk Lake City (The Rhea Jensen Series, #2)Welcome to Stalk Lake City by Sheralyn Pratt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Great mystery. This is LDS fiction, however it's mostly just a mystery story. There was one part where I felt like I was reading a sermon. Not necessarily bad, it just didn't seem to flow with the rest of the story. Will definitely read the rest of the series.

City Limits (Rhea Jensen series, #3)City Limits by Sheralyn Pratt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love these books. There's a great mystery to solve and a love story intertwined. I couldn't put it down.

Kay'sville: The Rhea Jensen Series, Book 4Kay'sville: The Rhea Jensen Series, Book 4 by Sheralyn Pratt

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a little different than the others, although not any less engaging. It was told in the perspective of Kay {Rhea's best friend} It goes back and forth in time, and you learn why Kay is the way she is. There is not a mystery in this book but I still couldn't put it down. I don't have a thing in common with Kay, but the author has a way of making the character real and making you like her and understand her.

  1. I just finished OKAY for Now by Gary D. Schmidt. I have to say its by far the best book I have read in a long time. I might even go as far as to put it in my top ten best books. Its a must read.
Stop by my blog where I do book reviews. I haven't reviewed this book yet as I am still processing everything.

  2. Are you a series type of reader? I am. I am just starting The Hunger Games...I know, a little behind the times. But I REALLY like it.

  3. I just started a book called Name of the Wind. So far it's pretty good. My husband and brother both read it and loved it so I though I'd give it a try.
