Something to Think About Sunday

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  One of the things I love about my church is that twice a year {April and October} our church leaders instruct us during General Conference.   This past October conference a certain talk really stuck with me. I think it will apply to anyone wanting to improve their life no matter your religion.

The talk was by Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency
It's titled Of Regrets and Resolutions

In it he challenges us to:

"Resolve to spend more time with those we love.
Resolve to strive more earnestly to become the person God wants us to be.
Resolve to find happiness, regardless of our circumstances."

Here's another small excerpt:

"We shouldn't wait to be happy until we reach some future point, only to discover that happiness was already available -- all the time! Life is not meant to be appreciated only in retrospect."

I encourage you to read, watch, or listen to the entire talk.  It's quite inspiring.

  2. Love this article. I recently read it again, but I should probably read it every month to keep me on track.
