Fall is in the air. Or at least it was until last week. We've had a cold snap here, but hopefully it's fall in your neck of the woods. I created this fall leaves embroidery with a free printable pattern for you.

Free Fall Embroidery Design

I love having a project that I can pickup for a few minutes here and there. I think that's why I love embroidery so much.

It's not something that requires a lot of thinking or planning beyond the initial gathering of thread. I can work on it anytime, whether I have five or ten minutes or an hour.

I love creating seasonal embroidery projects, like this love embroidery, this stitched Lucky sign, or this spiderweb embroidered collage.

You may also like these floral embroidery patterns.

I decided I needed something for fall. Something I could keep out after Halloween until Thanksgiving. This is what I came up with.

Stitches used in this embroidery pattern

I only used three different stitches in this pattern, the backstitch, the satin stitch and the fishbone stitch. The backstitch is pretty basic, but I would consider the satin and fishbone stitches more of an intermediate stitch. They're not hard, but they do require a bit more attention to detail.

If you haven't used these stitches before, I've linked how-to videos below:
