WHERE CAN I BUY LAYER CAKE PRECUTS?

Before we get to the list, let's talk about layer cakes.

What is a layer cake? It's a stack of fabric that is precut to 10 inches square. The fabrics all coordinate together, so it takes the guess work out of choosing fabrics.

You can find precut fabric at most quilt stores. Some stores (like mine) don't have a very big selection, so I tend to purchase them online.

My three go-to online quilt fabric stores are:

Connecting Threads - Connecting Threads is always my first stop. They create a lot of their own fabric lines that are just dreamy. Plus they carry many popular lines as well.

Fat Quarter Shop - They carry all of the latest fabrics. I've used them several times. One thing I've been loving lately is their cross stitch patterns and clubs.

Missouri Star Quilt Company - Missouri Star is not only a great online fabric store, but they are an amazing resource as well with tons of tutorials.

Also, if you're in the market for a new sewing machine, I recently got this one that I am so happy with.

Peaches and Cream Quilt by Simple Simon and Company This quilt is so pretty! Layer cake squares are simply cut into three pieces and then re-arranged with sashing between.
