50+ EASY Quilt Patterns for Beginners

Find EASY quilt patterns that are ideal for beginners!

This article is full of simple quilt patterns that are designed specifically with new quilters in mind.

I have separated the article into two main sections: 1) Free quilt patterns and tutorials and 2) patterns to purchase.

You will find patterns that include easy techniques and basic quilting blocks like 4 patch, 9 patch and half square triangles.

At the end I have included a section about small quilting projects such as pillows and table runners. Small projects are great for beginners because you can finish them quickly and they are less daunting than a full sized quilt.

Check out these baby quilt patterns. They are often easy to make because they're small and can be finished quickly.
